Epicurious

We decided to head down Robertson quay for branch since we wanted to run some errands nearby after that. We did not know where to eat, thus just stroll around Robertson Quay for somewhere that seems a little crowded (to me, it would be either the food is really cheap or the food is damn nice) and serves proper brunch.

We chanced upon this place where it was packed with people at about 9+ 10am on a Saturday morning. I knew we have to join the crowd to try it out. We were lucky that a couple was leaving which means the waiting time was greatly reduce to probably about 5 - 10 mins or so.

I like how the ice water was served. Every table has got different kind of alcohol bottle filled with plain water. Even the metal mug which they use to contain the sugar is pretty interesting.

It is a very simple place for you to have your breakfast and because the place is so simple and peaceful, it feels comfortable to even be here alone.

Cappucino

No fanciful coffee art, just a simple cup of thick and fragrant coffee.

I guess because everything seem so simple, they could have missed out on cleanliness. Check out the lipstick stained plastic cup they gave us for the ice water.

Breakfast Burrito

Ok i have to say that they don't focus much on the presentation of the food. Seriously to me, presentation is secondary. It is good to have but it is fine without it as well. What matters most to be is the taste.

So this dish comes with some roasted potato that are properly done and also some tomato salsa that is very appetizing. Scrambled eggs with chorizo, tomatoes and cheddar cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla. The burrito is THICK. As you can see from the picture, the eggs filled up every spaces in the wrap.

Price: $14.60

Eggs Benedict

2 poached eggs served with roasted potatoes, a slice of water melon, English muffins and your choice of either smoked salmon, smoked ham or spinach. So we picked the smoked salmon. The eggs are nicely done and are topped with Hollandaise sauce. You will have no regrets at all eating this.

Price: $14.60 (choose to upsize with just additional of $5)

And then it started pouring. And when it does, we just want to leave because the wind was so strong that we begin to feel that our body, the tables and chairs we are sitting at are wet. So it can be better if the tables are not just located at the walkway.
